1. What kind of media institution might
distribute your media product and why?
2. Why have chosen my production
company Logo?
• The reason why I chose my production company logo
for this film is because this is along the lines of a
murder mystery and the connotations that the
magnifying glass implies. The title in it helps the logo
because it tells you that this company produces
murder mysteries film or helps to make them.
3. What is production company? What
do they do?
• A production company is a organisation that
produces Film/TV. What it does it helps to create a
film by helping control the budget through the
producer and co-ordinates the cast and crew. The
producer has the task of trying to find a director and
employing all the crew. The production company also
pays for all marketing and advertising.
4. What is the job of a film distributor?
• The job the film distributor is to send the film out all across
the planet. They make the decision as to when and where the
film should be shown and they also find ways to promote it.
The first thing they do is decide how many copies they have to
make. It's then previewed to buyers e.g. cinema owners.
Eventually it gets sent out to the owners just before it's
available to watch. Once its been sent for people to view it
sent back to distributors and payment is agreed. In order to
save on costs the film distributor will limit the number of
prints being made.
5. Which film distributor would you chose for your film
and why? What other films have they distributed that
are similar to yours?
• The film distributor I have chosen is Warner Bros.
because they are a big worldwide company that can
help distribute the film worldwide. They will promote
certain films that have been made on a low
budget, in order to maximise their profits. The films
they have distributed that are similar to my film are
Sherlock Holmes and Scooby Doo.
6. How will you film be funded?

of people who buy the Lottery ticket across the country and
hopeful from the funds that are raised the amount that we
need to get the film up and running will be enough get it to
the cinema.
7. Titles- Why do you need them? How have
you presented them?
• Titles are needed in my opening as it helps the
audience to understand what the
content, tone and genre of the film are. The
title of the film and its font are important to
establish content, tone and genre as well. I
have used a dissolve effect to show the
title, and have chosen a simple, clear font.
8. What films have influenced you from the
industry and why?
• Sherlock Holmes has become an influence
because he is one of the best detectives ever
created and the murders he had to deal with
are complex and intriguing.
• Even though a movie hasn’t been made for
this man Poirot is also an inspiration because
of how calm he takes to any mystery he’s
given.
