5. What happens next? Autotrophs take carbon dioxide into their cells through diffusion and water into their cells through osmosis. Then a series of reactions that take place that result in the formation of oxygen and glucose
6. What is glucose used for? When the energy absorbed from the sun is stored in the form of glucose. The glucose is broken down in the mitochondria during cellular respiration then the energy is released in the form of ATP.
