With the new isolated M and S series you can connect signals with much higher common mode voltages. Common mode rejection: This lets us get into applications such as testing fuel cell stacks most common fuel cells are under 100 V. No more Ground loops: Isolation also eliminates ground loops which can be very useful feature for automotive applications where differences in ground voltages of sensors and the data acquisition system can lead to ground loops. High voltage transients: And finally isolation provides safety by offering withstand for high voltage transients. This can be particularly useful for industrial applications where proximity to wall power can lead to high voltage noise for short durations. Isolated M Series are a great up sell for any application where high common mode voltages, ground loops and transients are a cause for concern.
