Ford grew hemp on his estate in Dearborn, MI, and
began the effort to make body panels from biomass,

overall strength of the panels were not as strong as
steel, they were lighter and would last longer, as most
blows to the panels would bounce out, similar to the
flex panels of later vehicles made by GM's Saturn
division.
