CANADIAN PARLIAMENT RECOGNIZES EBOOKS, RITA TOEWS
The month of March has been declared Read an EBook Month.
The Motion reads: That, in the opinion of the House, the government
should: (a) recognize that the ePublishing industry has created
economic opportunities for entrepreneurs, authors, publishers and
ereader manufacturers; (b) recognize that ebooks present significant
benefits for seniors and children; (c) recognize that ebooks are an
environmentally-friendly alternative to books; (d) declare the month of
March as "Read an Ebook Month"; (e) support the goals and ideals of
"Read an Ebook Month"; and (f) encourage Canadians to observe
"Read an E-book Month".
Read an EBook Week was started by Rita Toews in 2004. It is now

Read an Ebook Week, March 4-11, 2012 will be announced on the
http://GlobalEboookAwards.com site to encourage Ebook Authors to
attend the FREE August 18 Ebook Global Ebook Award Ceremony in
Santa Barbara, CA when Rita Toews will be added to the Dan Poynter
Wall of Ebook Fame. The Ebook Wall of Fame recognizes and
honors those, who through leadership, and innovation, have defined,
promoted, inspired, and advanced Ebooks
Dan Poynter, founder of the Global Ebook Awards, congratulated
