or combining manufacturing steps in an assembly line type manufacturing mode. Co-Supervised the
Maintenance Department. Streamlined data collection for environmental reporting to federal, state, local and
corporate agencies. Did extensive environmental monitoring which included Air Quality, Solid Waste and Waste
Minimization work. Gained additional in depth experience reporting to and achieving full compliance with all
OSHA and DOT regulations. Certified forklift operators. Initiated installation of state of the art safety equipment,
such as light curtains and safety shut off mats on manufacturing equipment, which greatly reduced the risk of
injury. Solved ergonomic problems, which were causing musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) injuries and costing the
company thousands of dollars in terms of Lost Work Time and Workman’s Compensation. Assumed Production
Supervisor and Warehouse responsibilities as the plant was shutting down. SAP experience Supervised 250.

BECTON DICKINSON BIOSCIENCES 1998 to 1999
Process Engineer/Quality Assurance
Implemented improvements to a medical diagnostic kit acquired from another company. First problem was a
packaging problem which included hard peeling foil/paper cover, and “bearding” of the adhesive. Started from
scratch, analyzed product, experimented, redesigned several components of the kit to dramatically reduce
customer complaints. Modified test equipment to obtain quantitative data to help determine best course of action
toward problem correction. Found alternatives to currently used components, which increased efficiency and at
the same time cut costs considerably. Modified production equipment to increase productivity. Discovered devices,
which would make operation of the product much more user friendly. Worked on component validation. Familiar
with GMPs. Successfully passed intensive internal FDA audit.
CAMPBELL CHAIN/COOPER TOOLS 1993 to 1998
Environmental Engineer/Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator
Prime responsibility regulatory compliance for parent company, Cooper Tools, environmental audit. Successfully
added Safety Specialist and Wastewater Treatment responsibilities. Repaired pumps, recorded data, and
performed all aspects of hands on wastewater treatment operator duties.
Initial assignment was preparation for massive total environmental compliance audit by parent company. Helped
achieve full compliance with all OSHA, EPA, DOT, State and Local environmental regulations. Recognized for
best environmental audit ever achieved by any Cooper company. Received Cooper’s PDQ (People Dedicated to
Quality) Award. Hands on Wastewater Treatment experience.
Initial responsibility was expanded to include additional Chemist, and Safety Specialist duties.
2. Completed Pennsylvania State sponsored classroom studies on wastewater treatment. Completed 40 hour OSHA
course. Gained increased computer literacy utilizing spread sheets. Awarded a rare, second PDQ Award. Heavily
involved with ISO 9001, GMP, and SPC.
