If the film has this certificate it means that anyone below this age is forbidden
from watching this film in a cinema or purchasing the DVD

Drugs may be used but cannot promote the use of them
Strong horror is allowed unless sadistic or expressed in a sexual way.
Dangerous behaviour e.g. suicide should not be expressed in a way that could
be copied or promote this behaviour. Also weapons should not be promoted.
There can be use of strong language such as f***. Strong terms such as the c***
word can be used if the context allows it to be accepted
Nudity may be allowed if in a sexual context. No constraints against non-sexual
nudity or educational
Sex may be portrayed without plenty of detail. Strong sexual references are
allowed , but they strongest may be allowed if justified by context.
No theme is prohibited for 15
Violence may be strong but should have large detail on inflicting injury. Strong
gory pictures are unlikely to be accepted.

Nobody younger than 18 can view an 18 rated movie at
the cinema or purchase an 18 DVD
Legislation says that Adults are free to choose their own
entertainment however exception are made when one of
the below have breached:
When the Material is in breach of the law
When the material risks harm to individuals or society
include portrayals of sexual or sexualised violence which
may promote sexual assault
Where there is explicit images of something sexual which
cannot be justified by the content.

Using this information, I can make the victims die in
quite a gruesome way if I could make it look like it
has happening when shooting scene.
I don’t see how any of the other area’s will fit in with
my genre. For example, drugs, nudity, language and
sex will not appear in my trailer as they’re not
relevant to a murder mystery.
Therefore, I shall stick to the 15 guidelines in
production as I don’t need to go breach these
guidelines.
