make sure you copy the words down
with accurate spellings, including
genders and accents.

Cognates
Look out for cognates. Some
words might be spelt exactly
the same/similar to the
English so they will be easier
to learn!

8 lists
Fold a sheet of paper into 8 sections.
Write the list of French/Spanish
words. Then in the second column
write the English. Cover the first
column and translate the English
words back into French/Spanish in
the third column.
8. Tip 7
Links
Make up links between the
French/Spanish and the
English. These can be as silly
as you like.
E.G. La mesa – table
(Spanish)…the table is a mess
