Responsible for all aspects of new tooling projects for both Canadian and United States operations with a range of
tonnage to 1200 tons, Progressive and Transfer Tooling. Review of Customer specifications, GD&T as well as
technical discussions with Customer and Suppliers. Project Management and visiting Tool Suppliers in support of
Project timelines. Maintaining updates on budget and technical project progress, internally and externally to
Customers. Design of internal reporting systems to support the conversion to a paperless office. Maintenance of
APQP documentation from award to production PPAP buyoff.

Analysis of Plant issues in various U.S. locations concerning Continuous Improvement of Primary 1500 ton
Transfer Press Line, Progressive Tools, Hot Stamp Cells and Welded Assembly Operations. Develop Tools for
Plant Specific Analysis with recommended target changes and priorities. Analysis of Support Department
Capabilities with recommendations for technical and personnel changes. The design of generic and specific training

Project Planning and Monitoring of international inter-company moves of fine blanking equipment and/or
production (Canada, Mexico, China and Italy). OEE evaluation and reporting all departments and equipment with
recommendations on parameter changes to achieve OEE improvement targets with priorities for fine blanking and
conventional stamping. Continuous Improvement reviews and implantation planning to achieve shortest path results
for fine blanking and conventional departments. OEM and Aftermarket production monitoring to support trend
identification and opportunities to support production demands and maintenance requirements with overall goal to
move to predictive support and maintenance. Design reviews of new tool construction for both fine blanking and
conventional tools. Analysis of all production areas in support of future production OEE goals and new product line
directions driving capital purchases, additional personnel requirements and training needs.

Solely responsible for all Stamping Supplier tooling design approvals for North American production, conventional
and fine blanking. Technical reviews for manufacturability internally and with all potential Suppliers to reach a
technical agreement to proceed with process concept approvals and final die design approvals. Project Management
of all tool builds to maintain scheduled targets. Review of schedule issues and their solutions. Financial audit of all
North American tooling projects to insure Supplier accountability of Program Purchase Orders. Liaise with
European/Chinese divisions on world wide programs to insure process and capability compliance with North
American Suppliers. The organization of a central Tooling database for all tooling CAD designs and tool
biographies in order to evaluate certain aspects of Supplier or Tooling performance. The author of Faurecia’s North
American Supplier Tooling guidelines, to attain commonality of tool construction, regardless of regional
differences.

The organization of tooling programs to insure schedule and quality performance. The review and approvals of part
requirements, process proposal, die designs with tool Supplier. Project management of all outside tool construction.
Review of tool supplier trials to approve preliminary quality and transfer of tooling to home production press
(progressive and transfer to 1800 tons). Assist in the PPAP review in the production home press, supporting any
trouble shooting issues. Day to day production tooling issues in support of production as well as tool modifications
directed by Customer.
