Month PLANNING STEPS. Use the design cycle process to help determine the steps to follow to

• Submit questionnaire to start me thinking about my interests and abilities. and contract

• Conduct a survey to determine outdoor interest of students.
• Research to find information on the benefits of outdoor education
• Research to locate possible venues to hold outdoor activities
• Meet with supervisor to share progress and gain avice
• Contact venues to determine their suitability, - i.e. costs, food, accommodation, activity
program - type and supervision of activities.
• Visit events to assess suitability of venue and program
• Set dates for each trip. End of Nov. Jan, March
• Organise transport for the events

• Write proposal to school admin to gain approval from school administration. Present to school
admin.
• Once approval gained and venues (3 over 6 months) decided * booked develop brochures,
posters promoting events.
• Organise registration details, collection of payments.
• Make presentation to school body in assembly outlining benefits of recreations, outdoor
activities options, and proposed events.
• Meet with supervisor to share progress and gain advice
• continue event promotion – homerooms, school newsletter, address PTA.
• Trip 1 – Held at End of the month - Finalise numbers, book transport. Check details with venue
Nov.
• Take promotional videos, photos
• Meet with supervisor to share progress and gain advice
• Survey trip 1 participants to gain feedback to help improve future programs and write a report
Compile promotional videos & photos into a presentation to be given at assembly
