The most basic and popular greywater system for the garden is the humble
bucket. Buckets are a good idea for watering your garden beds but should
be used with caution. A full 10 litre bucket weighs 10 kilograms and can be
difficult to manage, especially for the elderly.

Never leave greywater in any container for more than 24 hours. And
remember, water restrictions do not apply when using a bucket for watering
your garden with greywater.

  • 13. The most basic and popular greywater system for the garden is the humble bucket. Buckets are a good idea for watering your garden beds but should be used with caution. A full 10 litre bucket weighs 10 kilograms and can be difficult to manage, especially for the elderly. Never leave greywater in any container for more than 24 hours. And remember, water restrictions do not apply when using a bucket for watering your garden with greywater.
