The Mil2Fed tool has been developed for the state of Maryland’s
Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation (DLLR).
Although this tool has been developed for the state of Maryland it
can be used by anyone in any state. Since private sector jobs
are categorized differently than federal jobs, military service
members may have a difficult time knowing which federal job
series might be comparable to their military experience. This tool
solves that problem.

to civilian private sector jobs.
Military service members have a difficult time
knowing which occupational jobs might be
comparable to their military occupation.
It can be difficult to narrow down search to jobs
compatible with USAJOBs.
O*Net Online is another crosswalk tool that allows
search by military occupation or job title and crossreferences military occupational skills (MOS) to
civilian equivalents and vice versa.
