computer. Also called an "audio editor," audio
sections can be deleted and mixed, and the
pitch, speed and tempo of the material can
be modified.

information from one form to another.

electrical signals into sounds loud enough to
be heard at a distance.

enable the computer to input, process, and
deliver sound.

8.  Sound ports: It is an interface between the
computer and other computers or peripheral
devices.

9.  Headphones: It is a hardware device that
allow you to privately listen to audio without
disturbing anyone else.

10.  The term codec stands for
"compression/decompression." A codec is a
specialized computer program, that reduces
the number of bytes consumed by large files
and programs.

11.  It´s a file format for storing digital
audio data on a computer system. This data
can be stored uncompressed, or
compressed to reduce the file size.
