2. JONAS
• Jonas is selected to inherit the position of "Receiver of
Memory," the person who stores all the past memories of the
time before Sameness, in case they are ever needed to aid in
decisions that others lack the experience to make.. He faces a
dilemma: Should he stay with the community, his family living
a shallow life without love, color, choices, and knowledge, or
should he run away to where he can live a full life?

3. “The Giver,” Jonas
Jon's has to make a
decision, choosing a life without
color and knowledge or happy
and full like full of loving
memories. I think that Jonas
made the right choice in running
away to a better opportunity. I
am personally glad, that he took
Gabe with him to give him a
opportunity at a early age.

4. “THE AMIGO BROTHERS”
Flex and Antonio have been best friends for a while. They have
been chosen to fight in a Champion Boxing Match. Even though
they both say that the match won‟t mess up their
friendship, tension starts building up.

5. “The Amigo Brothers”
Even though the two had to fight
against one another, when the
winner was about to be
announced they both were
heading him. Soon, they
apologized to one another
because they both got caught up
in a selfish act to win.

6. “ZEBRA”
• Adams‟s story starts off with a sad event. He crashed into a car, while
doing his most favorite thing in the entire world, running. The doctors
told that he would never run again.

7. “Zebra”
Adam soon is invited to join his
friends in the „Art Club‟ taught
by a Vietnam soldier named John
Wilson. During the classes, Adam
becomes less depressed and more
and more fascinated with what
the one armed man can do.

8. REFLECITON
Throughout this story, all the characters were stuck between making one
mistake and growing from it. The characters learned to be a better person
throughout their hard times whether they had two hands or one, one friend
or none, and black & white or color.
