3. SmartLipo is performed using a cannula—an
extremely thin tube that includes a laser that is
designed to break up fat deposits prior to using
suction to remove the fat from the body. The
laser also tightens the skin through the
constriction of collagen fibers. Unlike traditional
surgery, SmartLipo only requires a localized
anesthetic, which eliminates the risks associated
with general anesthesia. Furthermore, the
procedure minimizes bruising, bleeding, and
other uncomfortable aspects of the recovery
process usually seen during traditional
liposuction, all while accelerating the appearance
