Art TherapyBenefits
1. Art therapy is a successful form of
therapy. It gives a sense ofreliefand
wellbeing through the recognition and
acknowledgement ofsubconscious feelings.
2. This therapy gives the client a personal
fulfillment from the creative and the
analytical components ofthe process. It can
build confidence and nurture feelings of
self-worth.
3. Art therapy can help individuals visually
express emotions and fears that they were
never able to articulate through
conventional
2. means, and give them some sense ofcontrol
over these feelings.
4. Art therapy when used alone or in
combination with other relaxation techniques
such as guided imagery can be a potent stress
reliever.
5. Art therapy can also help individuals cope
with pain and promote physiological healing
by identifying and working through anger and
resentment issues and other emotional
stresses.
3. Some of my clients who get relieved from practising art at their skill-it’s not the skill we
want, it’s the practice under our instruction: only demand is thatclients should need to be
creatively inclined, at least they need to have spatial sense.
