10. Woodloch Fountains Utility Memo
1. Water Supply Required:
The water supply design & engineering shall be provided by the Architect or his MEP
Engineer.
-- Pipe Size Desired: 2.00
-- Estimated Peak Water Demand (gpm) 24.4
-- Minimum Pressure (PSI) Required: 60
2. Waste Water Loads (capacity / flow):
Expected backwash flow (gpm) to sanitary sewer or other authorized outfall. The Civil
Engineer or Architect shall provide this design.
-- Backwash Flow (GPM): 105
-- Type of flow: Gravity
-- Recommended air gap distance (in.): 5
3. Electrical Requirements:
The expected electrical supply and load is noted below. The Architect or his MEP
Engineer shall provide the control wiring design as needed.
Expected power phase 3
Expected power voltage 460
Anticipated kW 50.1
a. Includes power loads for:
1. All pool pumps and Underwater Lights
2. Chemical Systems with Electrical Interlocks
3. Heater control wiring and GFI Receptacles
4. Auto-Level systems, Therapy operation, and Safety cutoff
5. Timers, VFD's, Programmable Interactive Controls
6. Note: 13 kW "extra" added due to preliminary nature of info
b. These figures do NOT include power loads for:
1. Miscellaneous utility requirements at the filter area
2. Deck Illumination
Anticipated Peak Load (kW) 62.6
4. Ventilation / HVAC Recommendations:
We recommend that the Chemical Vault and Filtration Vault have separate ventiliation
systems to assist in preventing a corrosive atmosphere. The max. air temperature for
VFD operation will be 102-deg. F.
Filtration Room:
Recommended air change rate (times per hour) or conditioned space: 10
Chemical Storage Room (Direct Ventilation to Outside is Recommended):
Recommended air change rate (times per hour) or conditioned space
vented outdoors: 10
Approximate BTU Load/Hour from Pumps & Capacitors: 14,690
5. Responsibility Legend:
ADE's Client has specifically assigned several design & egnineering tasks and
responsibilities to ADE. The design tasks that are NOT assigned to ADE must be
completed by others (NOT ADE). Confirm the below Design assumptions with the
Architect and the Owner.
