IMPROTANT! Be able to define all of the vocabulary words from the previous slide!
Vocabulary words used in sentences! Here are some examples of the previous vocabulary words used in sentences. Energy is the ability to do work.  She was wearing an elegant dress.  There was a fatal car accident.
Writing Process in the English Language Draft out the ideas before writing out the given assignment. Writing Process 101 Use correct grammar, ALWAYS!  Spelling counts, and must ALWAYS be correct!  Usage of mechanics such as GRAMMAR, PUNCTUATION, and SENTENCE STRUCTURE!
Grammar and Usage Sentences begin with capital letters. End every sentence punctuation (.) (,) (;) (:) (!) (?) etc…  Capitalize the pronoun “I”
Grammar Joke  “Call me a cab” – man #1  “Okay, you’re a cab!” – man # 2  Because there was no punctuation, man #2 misunderstood man #1!

When Reading… Connect your own knowledge and experiences  When reading, TAKE NOTES!  When reading aloud, ask questions!
When Reading Narrative Text… Write out and explain how characters interact.  Write out how characters express feeling  Write down interesting facts Write anything that seems important
