Six  sigma 6σ
Six sigma is a business strategy that seeks to improve the quality of process by identifing and removing the causes of defects or errors and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes.  A defect is mistake that results in customers’ dissatisfaction Sigma indicates how often defects are likely to occur The higher the value of sigma, the lower the defect rate The lower the defect rate, the higher will be the quality Value of six sigma is 3 defects per 1 million oppertunities
6σ uses DMAIC modle for process improvement Design : Goals consistent with customers’  demands and business strategies are designed. Measurment:  Current performance is measured and relevant data is collected. Analysis: Collected data is analysed to ensure no variation in process. Improve: If there is any vriation, the process is improved. Control: Deviations from targets are corrected before they result in defects.
