LinkedIn heeft derhalve de limiet beperkt tot 30,000 connecties. In de top-50 most connected people vinden we een aantal Nederlanders zoals Jan Mulder (31,000+ connecties) en Jan Karel Kleijn (27,000+ connecties).

  18. opgericht 28 februari 2008 als experiment na 3 dagen 300 leden, na een week 1.000 besluit er meer mee te doen nu 1 jaar later: 5.100 leden, werkzaam bij radio, TV, online media, print uitgevers en de voor hen relevante toeleveranciers (gemiddeld 100 nieuwe leden per week) groepsblog RethinkingMedia.nl, 2-wekelijkse nwsbrf 19 november 2008: eerste RethinkingMedia event in Rode Hoed met 450 deelnemers (gratis voor leden, betaald door sponsors, binnen 1,5 dag vol) 26 februari 2009: eerste netwerkborrel in Dauphine met 200 leden en een trits aan nieuwe ideeën : trainingen , labs, mobile challenges, top meets talent diner e.d. Ervaringen met LinkedIn tot nu: zonder (een tool als) LinkedIn was dit niet mogelijk geweest profielen zijn zeer up to date (mailadressen ook) LinkedIn faciliteert miniem: nauwelijks userdata, geen mailmogelijkheid, screenen van aanmeldingen lastig,… groepsdiscussie mogelijkheid hebben we uitgezet. Iedereen kan roepen wat ie wil (ook commerciële boodschappen) en leden worden hier default van op de hoogte gebracht, kan als spam ervaren worden. Ervaringen met de groep tot nu toe: interesse uit de groep overweldigend, maar kost enorm veel vrije tijd, dus het aantal echt actieve leden is laag.
