 The Mundus legacy – participation of nationals from non- MEDIA
countries
 Up to 20% of "non – MEDIA" professionals in the "normal" case
(80% of the supported projects)
 Up to 50% in "international" training courses (maximum 20% of
the supported projects) aimed at collaboration between MEDIA and
non- MEDIA professionals
 End of the initial training scheme (opportunities in E+)

Budget for 2014: € 7,5M
+/- 80 training initiatives (1500 professionals per year)

 clearer submission stage: 8 months before entering into
production
 Open for projects developed for digital platforms (linear and/or
interactive)
 Single Projects: Lump sum according to category/size of project
 Slate Funding: Maximum support € 200.000 but limited to €
150.000 for creative documentary slates, only one deadline
 NEW development scheme for Video games
• link with a "traditional" audiovisual work removed
• Two levels of contribution :

€ 10.000 - 50.000 for concept development: support for activities up to a
game concept
€ 10.000 - 150.000 for project development: support for activities up to a
playable prototype

Programming
TELEVISION PROGRAMMING
•Reinforce support to ambitious and high quality co-produced
European drama series
 maximum support €1 M
 sequels, 2nd and 3rd seasons of an existing drama series are
eligible
•Clarification that focus is on independent production companies and
their positioning in the market
 broadcaster cannot be majority co-producer and its share
cannot exceed 70% of the total financing
Annual support for +/- 50 productions
Budget 2014: €11.8 M.

Targeted projects
•Training sessions, workshops, preparation of materials,
websites for this purpose, etc.;
•Stays and residencies. The activities can include artistic
creation, including co-creations and co-productions.
•Cultural organisations coming together to co-produce and/or
perform and tour in different venues/events in different
countries.
•Transnational exchanges of artefacts with a particular
European dimension…

ANNUAL CALLS:
•Category 1 - Smaller scale projects: 1 project leader and 2 other
partners having their legal seats in participating countries Maximum
EUR 200.000 – 60% of total eligible costs
•Category 2 – larger scale cooperation projects:
1 project leader and 5 other partners having their legal seats in
participating countries - Maximum EUR 2.000.000 – 50% of total
eligible costs

 Reinforcing the skills, competences and know-how of
creative players
 Strengthen international networking in order to facilitate
access to professional opportunities
 Networks shall be active in the cultural and creative
sectors and consist of at least 15 member organisations
legally established in at least 10 different countries
participating in the Culture Sub-programme.

•Only 2 calls during the entire duration of the Creative Europe
programme (2013/2017)

European Platforms
+/- 10 projects per year – Budget for 2014: € 3,4M
•Support to cultural and creative organisations showcasing and
promoting European creators and artists which form a platform
composed of a coordination entity and at least 10 member
organisations.
•The coordination entity manages the platform and its activities. It
selects its members according to criteria ensuring the achievement of
the objectives & priorities of the scheme. The coordination entity
may also award financial support to members.
• Only 3 calls during the entire duration of the programme
(2014/2015/2017)

What are the major changes? - TRAINING  The Mundus legacy – participation of nationals from non- MEDIA countries  Up to 20% of "non – MEDIA" professionals in the "normal" case (80% of the supported projects)  Up to 50% in "international" training courses (maximum 20% of the supported projects) aimed at collaboration between MEDIA and non- MEDIA professionals  End of the initial training scheme (opportunities in E+) Budget for 2014: € 7,5M +/- 80 training initiatives (1500 professionals per year) Education and Culture

WHAT ARE THE MAJOR CHANGES – TV Programming TELEVISION PROGRAMMING •Reinforce support to ambitious and high quality co-produced European drama series  maximum support €1 M  sequels, 2nd and 3rd seasons of an existing drama series are eligible •Clarification that focus is on independent production companies and their positioning in the market  broadcaster cannot be majority co-producer and its share cannot exceed 70% of the total financing Annual support for +/- 50 productions Budget 2014: €11.8 M. EUROPEAN COOPERATION PROJECTS +/- 100 supported projects per year Budget in 2014: € 38 M Targeted projects •Training sessions, workshops, preparation of materials, websites for this purpose, etc.; •Stays and residencies. The activities can include artistic creation, including co-creations and co-productions. •Cultural organisations coming together to co-produce and/or perform and tour in different venues/events in different countries. •Transnational exchanges of artefacts with a particular European dimension… Education and Culture

EUROPEAN COOPERATION PROJECTS +/- 100 supported projects per year Budget in 2014: € 38 M ANNUAL CALLS: •Category 1 - Smaller scale projects: 1 project leader and 2 other partners having their legal seats in participating countries Maximum EUR 200.000 – 60% of total eligible costs •Category 2 – larger scale cooperation projects: 1 project leader and 5 other partners having their legal seats in participating countries - Maximum EUR 2.000.000 – 50% of total eligible costs Education and Culture

Literary translations +/- 60 projects per year - Budget in 2014: € 3,6 M ANNUAL CALLS AND FPAs: •Category 1 – Annual calls - two years projects: 3 to 10 fiction works - Maximum EUR 100.000 total– 50% of total eligible costs One package of •Category 2 – Framework partnership agreements: 3 calls for the entire duration of the Creative Europe Programme. Package of 5 to 10 fiction works per year - Maximum EUR 100.000 per specific agreement – Maximum 50% of total eligible costs Education and Culture

European Networks +/- 25 projects per year – Budget for 2014: € 3,4M  Reinforcing the skills, competences and know-how of creative players  Strengthen international networking in order to facilitate access to professional opportunities  Networks shall be active in the cultural and creative sectors and consist of at least 15 member organisations legally established in at least 10 different countries participating in the Culture Sub-programme. European Platforms +/- 10 projects per year – Budget for 2014: € 3,4M •Support to cultural and creative organisations showcasing and promoting European creators and artists which form a platform composed of a coordination entity and at least 10 member organisations. •The coordination entity manages the platform and its activities. It selects its members according to criteria ensuring the achievement of the objectives & priorities of the scheme. The coordination entity may also award financial support to members. • Only 3 calls during the entire duration of the programme (2014/2015/2017) Education and Culture
