2. What is Demographics?
Demographics separates the adult population by
what they do as a job and what the status of their
job is. It breaks them down into six groups, and
labels them using a letter code. This describes the
income and status that they are put into. A are the
jobs that are considered to have the highest status
and E is for the unemployed and students who are
considered to have low status because they have no
low income.
4. Why do directors use this to
select their target audience?
The demographic table is used by directors so
they can easily select their target audience. Their
target audience will determine what type of thrill
it is, how the characters speak, where the
character may be from and where the video is
set. It could effect these things so that the video
can relate to these people.
5. What is psychographic?
Psychographic is split up into seven different
sections that describe what different types of
people are like. This is a way of describing an
audience by looking at the behaviour and
personality traits of its members. It can help
producers to understand the spending and viewing
habits of their target audience.
7. Our Psychographic Target
Audience
For a thriller I believe the main psychographic group
would be males, age between 15-35,who fit into the
social class “mainstream” and “Resigned”. I think that
people from these groups are the best to aim for because
they will have time to watch our video and goon things
such as you tube and Spotify to watch music videos.
