QUESTION 5: HOW DID YOU ATTRACT
YOUR AUDIENCE?
By George Eccles
2. WHO WOULD WATCH MY FILM?
Clothing /Other
Fairly scruffy hair covered with a hat, this could
mean that he is lazy or finds wearing a hat
convenient
Comfortable, casual upper body
clothing showing that he favours
practicality over style
Again, comfortable lower
body clothing over stylish clothing
More stylish trainers in comparison to the
rest of the clothing possibly showing he expresses
his personality through his footwear
He would have heard about my film via social media
sites. He likes to use the internet where ever he can.
He has lots of DVDs and Blurays at home but has
recently started to download films onto his computer
instead of buying DVDs and Blurays
3. Likes
• Enjoys gritty films related to British violence
like ‘Harry Brown’ and ‘This Is England’
because he can sometimes relate to the
storylines
• Enjoys playing online video games and using
social networks such as Facebook and
Twitter
• Will listen to songs that both he and his
friends enjoy in order to remain socially
comfortable
• Doesn’t care to much for editing and SFX in
films, he is more interested in the storyline
4. Dislikes
• The romance and Horror genres due to their
lack of originality and cheesy storylines
• Keeping up to date with all new films as he
believes that a film that would interest him
will come to him i.e. suggestions on social
networking
• Not having WIFI available to him so he can’t
keep up with friends on online games
• Rock music because he thinks it is all
shouting which requires little skill
5. AUDIENCE FEEDBACK
1. Good attention to detail
2. Sounds/music were good
3. Good cuts between useful information scenes
4. Good use of props and costume, editing was good too
5. I like the cut from present to 9 years earlier
6. Great storyline
7. Good story line and good transaction of clips
8. Great acting
This is the positive feedback I received from my target audience after they had
watched my film
6. AUDIENCE FEEDBACK
My target audience feedback revealed to me that my
storyline was good as well as relatable which was
something I was hoping to have success in before I
started my film.
My target audience also said that my use of transitions
from one clip to another was quite good and my editing
technique was also good
7. TO IMPROVE
The main area for improvement was defiantly less camera shake
throughout my film, this can be achieved by using a tripod in order
to stabilise the camera
Another common comment was improve the ending, this was
because the ending was too abrupt for my target audience, I tried
to make it look as if the film carried on after two minutes but this
made the ending quite abrupt and sudden
