This is how most of us eat. Too much of the wrong stuff ---- not enough of the right stuff …. We have flipped the food pyramid upside down. So – what can you do?....
Let’s look at the concern about not enough whole grains. Processing our grains began in the early 1900’s by removing the critical oils (known as Lipids and Sterols) from the wheat, rice and soy so that our foods could last longer on the shelf. Years ago our breads would only last a day or two, now they last weeks. Some cereals have a 10 year shelf life and pasta lasts forever!!
