1. Making Your Own Beats Can Be As Easy As 123
It's not a prerequisite to have experience or born talent to start making your
own beats. Things have changed thanks to technological advances that allow
anybody with interest to make his own beats could do it right from their
computer.
You first need to have the correct mindset that making music beats should not
have any fixed rules to follow as the best method. Understand that you are a
unique being and beats that sound excellent to you are what attract your
selected audience. Allow your own creative mind to take charge and make
any beats that it loves. Genre is not important when you start out. Let it be
free styled.
Once you are comfortable at doing what you are doing, you may then move
to the most difficult part in making your own beats. Although you should not
limit yourself in any way when making your own beats or to confine by a
certain fixed set of rules, you need to get opinions. As eventually the final
goal of your beat making is to have audience that loves what you're making.
So, record your beats and get your family members and friends to comment
on them. Be prepared for criticism though but always bear in mind that these
comments are what bring you one more step ahead. Tweak your beats
according to their comments and compared the new beats with your original
beats to find the difference. Find out why and then adopt the style of the
majority - this will guarantee you to have more audience.
Another method that I like is to "steal" from the pros. If you love techno beats
2. like me, try listening to Nirvana, Bob Dylan and Price and then examine the
construction of the beats. Is it the bass that makes the beats special or what?
Find out and emulate them. Do not copy as that will be a copyright
infringement, but you are free to add the same music elements into your own
beats - sequence, tempo, pitch, intensity, etc.
Overtime, you will be able to make your own special and unique beats
without a problem. And I need to re-emphasize that you should never limit
yourself to just a few music genres or type. Instead, be creative and brave to
venture out all genres like rap, hip hop, jazz, tehcno, and even combination of
two or more of these, etc. So long as your beats are able to engage the
audience, then those are excellent beats. We want beats that are capable of
triggering your audience to the emotional state you intend.
Now Pay Close Attention Here
You will need to have a beat maker to make the above possible and the article
was written with the assumption that you already had one. Otherwise, you
will need to get a sophisticated beat maker that will allow you to add, edit,
mix your beats with various instrumentals right from your keyboard.
Once you are done with your beats, you can easily export them into MP3 files
that you can later burn into a disc and listen to it anytime you preferred. One
of the best and yet affordable beat makers with studio quality sounds that I
have ever found is Sonic Producer. Click Here to check out some sample
