I am a production trainer with over 13 years’ experience of working on refineries and chemical
plants as an operator and control room technician. I am currently working for TTE-Petrofac in
Baku, Azerbaijan, teaching Azeri students. I am delivering the BP Foundation Course.
I have completed the (QCF) Level 3 Assessor Award, and am aiming towards the IQA qualification.

Production Trainer (BP Foundation Program)
TTE-Petrofac is a joint venture company delivering the BP Foundation and Post Foundation
course to Azeri nationals in several disciplines, including production. The aim is to prepare the
employee for work offshore, at Sangachal Terminal or on the pipelines.
Principal Duties:
Deliver the course material in a safe and effective manner.
Maintain records of student progression.
Create Tailored Revision Programs when necessary.
Maintain company and awarding body standards.
Liaise with internal and external verification.
I was involved in a major update of the course in March 2015.
I am the focal point and administrator for the Generic Simulator and Central Azeri
Simulator suites
Act as a Performing Authority and Area Authority for the purposes of permits.

Industrial Skills Trainer 1 (Operations and Safety)
Saudi Aramco is the largest oil and gas company in the world. It has a range of facilities from
offshore and onshore exploration, through refining and terminals to distribution and shipping
facilities. The training centre at Ras Tanura teaches a foundation course and then specialization
courses depending on the final destination of the employee.

Served on two major turnarounds as shutdown crew and one as liaison between
operations and the maintenance contractors, introducing the practice of using
operations as maintenance crew.
Qualified as an operator and custodian on the following units: Merox LPG
treatment Unit; 2x Sulphur Recovery Units,; 2x Sour Water Strippers; 2x
Reformers; Sulphur Hydrogenation Unit; Aromatic Extraction Unit; Pressure
Swing Adsorbtion Unit; HydroDeAlkination Unit; GOHDS Compressors;
Naphtha Fractionation Unit.
Operated the following equipment: Pumps – centrifugal, multi-stage and
reciprocating, electrical and steam turbines; Compressors – electrical and steam
driven; Reactors; Heat exchangers – shell and tube, fin-fans, plate, air-cooled
and spiral; Adsorbers and Absorbers; Control valves – flow control,
temperature control, pressure control, speed control; Distillation columns with
associated equipment (reflux drums, overhead coolers, reboilers etc.); Settling
drums; Tanks; Coalescers; Filters; Heaters; Incinerators and furnaces; Sulphur

Served as a member of the refinery Emergency Response Team for 4 years,
training with the local brigade and on our own fire pad. I have also attended the
Corporate Advanced Fire School at the Texas Engineering Extension Service
fire school in College Station, Texas. Trained in firefighting skills, BA wear,

aid.
As new operators have joined the shift I participated in training them on the
units.
