2. DOCUMENTARY From our audience feedback results, we can gather that the majority of our audience found our documentary interesting and were able to understand the continuity of it. Things that the audience liked about the documentary: - Interesting topic and relevant to modern society - Good variety of interviews with different age ranges - The content of the documentary was good - The title sequence was very interesting and grabbed attention - The style of voiceover was appropriate to the topic - Chose popular music for the title sequence - Good framing on interviews -The mis-en-scene of the interviews was not distracting - The documentary as a whole was eye catching
3. DOCUMENTARY However, there were also many weaknesses with our documentary. One of the main bad points of our documentary was the montage at the beginning. This was because it was too fast and therefore distracted the audience from what they should be paying more attention to which was the voiceover telling them what the documentary was about. Rather than the montage acting as a form of visual aid for the audience it becomes more of a distraction of their attention from the voiceover. We could have improved this by slowing the montage down.
4. RADIO TRAILER With our radio trailer, our audience said that it was not very attention grabbing and therefore this is a weakness as this may mean that if they heard this trailer actually on a radio station they may not be interested in watching the rest of the documentary. Moreover, a lot of our audience said that the radio trailer was interesting. We could have improved the radio trailer by choosing clips from the documentary which would grab their attention and encourage them to want to watch the rest of the documentary.
5. NEWSPAPER ADVERT The audience said that our newspaper advert was good because the picture was interesting and relative to the documentary and was also eye catching. However, they said that the newspaper advert was not very informative and needed more detail as to what the documentary was actually about, we could have therefore improved our print advert by finding a way in which we could make it more informative maybe through the image or through the slogan of our documentary.
