• Submissions have begun!
• Photos muse be submitted no later than 11:59
pm EDT on June 28
• Voting takes places noon EDT on July 15 and
ends at noon EDT on July 31.

• Your organization may submit up to 3 photos
from your GlobalGiving project page(s)
• Your organization may submit photos from
multiple projects
• Your photos must relate to your project(s)

6. CATEGORIES
• Your photo’s category is automatically chosen
using your project’s primary theme

• 5 Categories
– Give Knowledge (education)
– Give Relief (health, disaster recovery)
– Give Support (microfinance, humanitarian assistance,
children)
– Give Hope (economic development, women & girls,
human rights, democracy & government, sport)
– Give Green (environment, animals, climate change,
technology)
8. VOTING PROCESS
• An independent judge (Bud Force) will select
the finalists
• Finalists’ photos will be uploaded on
GlobalGiving’s website for voting on July 15
• Voters will vote on globalgiving.org using their
e-mail address and verification
9. VOTING PROCESS
• Each vote must be confirmed via email. Once a vote
has been made the voter will receive an email from
GlobalGiving to confirm.
• Only upon confirmation will a vote be counted.
• An individual may vote for as many photos as they
wish, but only one vote per photo will count as a
unique vote

10. PRIZES
• The photo with the most unique votes will
win a $1,000 bonus to support their work and
will be featured on the GlobalGiving
homepage for a full day
• The runner-up in each of the 5 categories will
each be featured for a full day on the
GlobalGiving homepage and will be
highlighted in GlobalGiving’s social media
outreach
21. A FEW FINAL WORDS
• Befriend your subject; tell a compelling story
• Take multiple shots at multiple angles and
then delete the ones you don’t like
• Rules are made to be broken!!!
• Post-process to crop and edit aspects such as
temperature, exposure, contrast
