Setting Goals & Beliefs Setting a goal is something talked about a lot at www.Guaranteedprofit.comand here in this video Nathaneal Mohr talks on optimizing your beliefs to make reaching your goals faster and easier.
Setting Goals & Beliefs When you answer the first questions honestly about setting a goal in our video called one of the first steps to long term business goal creation.... Their are a couple challenges within setting that goal that arise for most of us if we are big dreamers.   And one of those challenges comes from the difference between where our beliefs are now while we are setting a goal....and the beliefs we have to have to create the goal we are setting.
Setting Goals & Beliefs Setting a Goal...And Optimizing Your Beliefs to Create it Our beliefs about ourselves, our industry, and the economy, for example will determine the choices we make with our available resources; both time and money. And that is why one of the most important areas to focus on when setting a goal is our beliefs. When most people think about developing the proper beliefs for business success they miss the point because the idea of using your beliefs for success hasn't been explained very well in very many places.
Setting Goals & Beliefs 	Most of us fall into one of two categories..when we think about beliefs and success: 1.  The first, is the generic “think big and you can make anything possible.”  Sit on a stump somewhere and imagine your goal manifesting and the universe will deliver what you want to you at your door step.   The truth is you are part of that universe.  So if you are not taking all the action you can.  Your missing an important part of the equation. 2.  Then there are the people that think when setting a goal their beliefs don't matter and their results have to do with their external situation.  The challenge with this kind of thinking about setting a goal is...you let go of your responsibility of your results.  When you let go of your responsibility of your results you let go of ever having control over your results.
Setting Goals & Beliefs So, just so you are clear.  When setting a goal, I am not talking about either side of those extremes.  I am talking about using your beliefs to get a specific response in your environment. Because if we believe we can develop a particular skill and adapt to our changing market conditions, we get a massively different response than if we  just think its too complicated.
Setting Goals & Beliefs Or if we believe that our customers will buy larger amounts of our higher end products or services, if given the appropriate value proposition or USP from someone they trust, because of your follow marketing we get a massively different result than if we believe that our customers don't want to spend money at all because we are in a recession. Or if we believe we are responsible for the results we want, we get a hugely different result than if we blame others.
Setting Goals & Beliefs So how do we design our beliefs to align up with and optimized for the goals we are setting? Resist any thoughts of “I can't,” and ask yourself:  “If I was able to develop the workflow that would get me the results I described, what would it be?”....just pretend
Setting Goals & Beliefs 1. Now do your best to describe the workflow to reaching your holistic and idealistic outcome within seven steps.   Writing your workflow goal within seven steps keeps us thinking in big picture terms, and allows us to focus on chunking down the specific short term business goals a little later.   Will you have to use give away marketing? Or what are the best ways to get profit fast? Or how do we increase your ROI with your follow up marketing?
Setting Goals & Beliefs 2. Outline the skills you would have to develop in order to create that workflow or small business marketing funnel. Do you have to learn how to ask for the sale more effectively, or become better at your relationship management strategy with customers? 3. Outline the challenges inherent in developing those skills, and developing your profit building plan. (This will give you an understanding of the most challenging parts of the terrain.)
Setting Goals & Beliefs 4. As your highest version of you - as you approached those challenges - what do you believe about yourself that makes it easy for your to overcome and leverage them to your benefit? 5. How can I create the ecosystem that assists me in growing the beliefs I need to overcome those or any other challenges I might face?
Setting Goals & Beliefs This will give you the beginning of your internal structure of the beliefs you have to have to overcome any obstacles you face. Do you need a goal partner?  Someone that supports you with the setting of goals and someone that you support them in the achieving of their goals?  Do you need a coach?  Do you need to surround yourself with inspiring people? Do the best to create an ecosystem that supports the beliefs that you need to hold as you create a new reality.
