Digital citizenship refers to how people behave and act responsibly online. There are nine key elements of digital citizenship: digital access, communication, etiquette, law, rights and responsibilities, health and wellness, security, and commerce. It is important that as more people gain digital access, they understand proper online behavior, communication, legal and security issues, and their rights and responsibilities in order to create a safe digital environment.

People all around the world use various methods to communicate and the biggest and most important one of them all is the vast internet. In the internet we have many choices that we could take, and many internet users make the wrong decisions because they are not informed well enough.
5. Digital Etiquette Digital etiquette, can be expressed as how one must operate online. Every person that has the chance of being online should do something elegant, sophiticatedand have good manners. You should always be respectful to people on the internet. This should be relevant to all online users.

Wrong use of the internet can get you in lots of problems, even with the law itself. The internet becomes more dangerous when we do not follow the digital laws which go with it.

Your Rights on the internet consist of you being able to do whatever you want on the net. It is your Internet freedom. You have the right to use facebook, twitter and my space. those are only a few of the thing that you have the rights too do. It is your Responsibility to keep yourself safe on the internet. The more Responsible you are on the internet the more the internet will be helpful too you and anything that you are wanting too do.

Digital Health and Wellness Digital health and wellness means being safe on the Internet mentally and physically By physically we mean that for example you should be careful when driving and using a cell phone because that would cause an accident. By mentally we mean for example that you would not get robbed when shopping in the internet.
9. Digital Security You must always be careful when using the internet You might get hacked or someone can steal your personal information You must always be alert and update your privacy and security settings while using websites such as facebook, my space or twitter.
10. Digital Commerce Digital Commerce is the electronic buying and selling of goods and in recent years its popularity has grown quite noticeably. Selling goods or digital commerce could be used on websites like ebay.com or amazon.com and from theses websites you can purchase almost anything.
