eVALUate Teaching Evaluation Report
This document is only available to the teacher who requests the evaluation. This report is
available when there is more than one student enrolled in the unit (in which the teaching
evaluation was requested) and when there were at least two student responses for that
teacher within that unit. (This is to preserve student anonymity.)
While it is expected that in the qualitative items, students will only comment on the
teaching of the nominated teacher, a student could feasibly name and comment on a
different teacher. In this case, the participating teacher (who is the only recipient of
this report) is under obligation to treat comments about other staff as confidential.
As students were not invited to comment on teachers other than the participating
teacher, any comments about non-participating teachers should not be passed on to
anyone.
Note: Student feedback which may be considered offensive or defamatory (this includes
racist or sexist comments, personal or abusive comments, or allegations of criminal
activity) may NOT be passed on to any staff member, or any student, by either the Unit
Coordinator or Head of School/Faculty. Under no circumstances will a comment be
tracked to identify any student.

Please comment on Hannah Woodward's teaching strengths. (600 characters)
Hannah is extremely easy to relate to. The way she communicates the unit concepts made it very easy to
grasp, contemplate and discuss. Hannah brought a great energy and level of enthusiasm to each tutorial.
Guidance and feedback for the assignments was very clear and applicable. Hannah had an understanding
and open minded approach to the topics discussed and everyone's opinions on the topics, making it very
comfortable to engage in class discussions.

She is very approachable and encourages you to ask many questions as she wants you to do well. She
has a a lot of knowledge and makes class enjoyable due to the fact she is so enthisiastic. I believe she is
a very effective teacher!!
It was awesome having an Australian tutor who was similar to us in age because she was really able to
relate to us. I think she is the sort of person that Curtin should really seek to employ as tutors. She made
the tutorials fun to go to and is obviously a really hard worker. Great work Hannah :)
She invloves herself in the class, its as if she is one of us and is aways enthusiastic. She is very
approachable and extremely helpful. No matter what day of the week she will respond to your questions.
She really engages the clas and makes the class atmosphere fun but also educational.
Hannah is the best tutor that I have had this semester at Curtin. She always makes sure that we all
participate and is very interactive and doesn't make us students feel demised in anyway if we are unsure
of something. She explained everything in detail and gives better examples and applies lecture
information to these examples making it more easier and better to understand. She immediately attends
to any of our needs or questions if we ask her/ post them on the Facebook wall or email her. She is a
great teacher.
Very approachable to students, understands students and genuinely puts in the effort to help us. If she
stays enthused and motivated she cabn be and already is one of the best lecturers I've had

Hannah is able to teach using language that is easily understood. Her way of teaching is simple and
straightforward, making the unit easier to understand.
Hannah, you are fantastic in the way you are always trying to assist the students as much as possible. I
think you are always striving to assist students to achieve the greatest grades which is refreshing.
Hannah is extremely approachable and had the capability to answer any questions any one had.
Hannah is very knowledgable in this area. She offers help in so many ways and encourages us to use her

For an area of improvement, I would like to say be careful with the language that you use in class. You
want to portray yourself as the teacher, the authority not as a student. I think sometimes you can be a
little wishy, washy with the explanations and my struggle to explain yourself. Just think about it, slow
down then say out loud what you want students to hear. Don't be hard on yourself, I know you are young
and haven't been doing this for very long however in the class you are the expert... don't doubt that.
For myself, the learning experience couldn't not have been better. I do not know how Hannah could
improve the delivery.
Sometimes gets carried away and off topic, but that actually helps her connect with the students and I
believe benefits the partnership. She is also very approachable so not a lot to improve on
we need many snacks. better classroom.
