2. Idea 1
• Theme: Desserts.
• Why? Because being a vegetarian is mainly focused on the healthy
side so people should be aware that vegetarians can eat some
unhealthy things. Some people become vegetarians for the healthy
lifestyle but that’s mostly not what being a vegetarian is about.
• It also keeps the audience open because it doesn’t contain any ages
or genders etc.
• There can be a range of desserts so that vegans can be included as
well. For example 5-Ingredient Almond Butter Chews & Almond
Butter Rice Crisp Treats (from:
http://ohsheglows.com/2012/01/05/top-21-vegan-dessert-recipes-
of-2011/) are suitable for vegans. Coffee and cream oatmeal
cookies, however, are only suitable for none meat eaters since it
has produce from a cow in it.
3. Feedback 1
What do you like about the idea? QUITE AN OPEN AUDIENCE NOT
RESTRICTING.
What areas of the idea could be developed? DECIDE WHETHER ITS FOR
VEGANS OR VEGETARIANS FIRST SO ITS MORE FOCUSED.
What do you find interesting about the idea? THE IDEA THAT MOST
VEGETARIANS EAT HEALTHY FOOD BUT SOME MAY WANT TO EAT
UNHEALTHY FOOD.
4. Idea 2
• Theme: Italian.
• Why? Many people enjoy eating Italian food so why
not let vegetarians enjoy it too? Most of the recipes for
vegetarian Italian meals look appetising and varied.
Not all of the recipes contain pasta but even if it is a
pasta dish it is flavoured with many different things like
tomato and herbs etc.
• You could also make some very nice vegetarian pizza to
add even more variation to the list of recipes.
• A down side to vegetarian Italian dishes is that most of
it isn’t suitable for vegans so it closes your audience a
bit.
5. Feedback 2
What do you like about the idea? I like the clear theme. Good idea to
incorporate a nationality.
What areas of the idea could be developed? Why Italian over any other type
of food? Why not lots of different styles of food.
What do you find interesting about the idea? Different types of Italian
cuisine it is also liked by most people.
6. Idea 3
• Theme: Healthy.
• Why? Being a vegetarian is a healthy lifestyle
many people believe and so it should be. The
recipes that I have looked at are healthy, quick to
make and they all look very appetising. There are
a range of recipes, including things like starters,
dips, main courses etc. This opens up your
audience by giving recipes to people looking for
different courses and foods.
• Many of the recipes are also suitable for vegans
too so it opens your audience even more.
7. Feedback 3
What do you like about the idea? I like the audience the theme is aimed at
as a lot of people like to watch what they eat, so I think this will attract a
wide audience.
What areas of the idea could be developed? Again make it more focused
decide on either vegans or vegetarians.
What do you find interesting about the idea? I liked the idea of different
courses.
8. Idea 4
• Theme: Christmas.
• Why? Christmas food is mainly meat based so it can be
hard to feed a vegetarian a traditional dinner. However,
some recipes are just as filling and festive as a
traditional dinner. The recipes I looked at also include
appetisers, main courses, desserts and more.
• This opens your audience up for ages and genders etc
but closes it off to some religions that don’t celebrate
Christmas. However, anyone could make the recipes for
a cold night in winter or even serve the appetisers at a
party.
9. Feedback 4
What do you like about the idea? Really good idea haven't heard of it
before for recipes would really benefit vegetarians at Christmas.
What areas of the idea could be developed? Specify what type of christmas
food.
What do you find interesting about the idea? I like that the audience is very
open.
10. Idea 5
• Theme: Barbecue.
• Why? People associate barbecues with meat,
leaving vegetarians out. However, there are many
recipes that can be done on the barbecue or
served at a barbecue for vegetarians. Most of the
food from the recipes I have looked at look
colourful and ready for summer time, just like the
usual barbecue produce.
• This also keeps your audience open with age,
gender, race etc not being specified or suggested.
The recipes also include vegan recipes too.
11. Feedback 5
What do you like about the idea? Like the idea of it for summer and that it
helps get vegetarians involved in barbecues.
What areas of the idea could be developed? Specify something's that could
be used (for example, a vegetable kebab stick).
What do you find interesting about the idea? That many vegetarian foods
can be involved at a barbecue or even barbecued themselves.
12. Summary of Feedback
What do you agree with from your feedback?
I agree that I need to think if a certain theme is especially for vegetarians or vegans. I
also agree that many of the dishes are very open with their audience.
What do you disagree with from your feedback?
I disagree with the “Why Italian?” part because I chose Italian because many people
like it because it is a vast range of food.
13. Idea Evaluation
Which idea that you came up with is your favourite and why?
I think that the barbecue idea is a good idea since many vegetarians feel like they can’t
have or attend barbecues. However, I really like the dessert idea because they are easy
to make and taste good no matter what so if you like the food you’ll have more
passion and joy in cooking it.
Which idea, that your team came up with, is your favourite and why?
As a team we have agreed to do sushi because it will bring more culture to our recipe
cards.
