2. Give Thanks
Luke 17:11-19: Because they listened and
obeyed, they were healed.
All 10 were healed, but only one returned.
How would you respond if you were healed?
Can you hear the disappointment in Jesus’
voice as He asks, “But where are the nine?”
Of the many who receive blessings from God,
aren’t there few who return to give thanks?
What kind of excuses do we hear?
3. Give Thanks
He knows I’m thankful…
I Thess. 5:18: Give thanks in everything.
I was getting better anyway…
III John 2: Pray for not only spiritual
strength, but for physical health.
I did it all…
Eph. 3:20: God works through us. We need
to thank God for the ability He gives us.
4. Give Thanks
Well, no one else gave thanks…
Thanks for meals (John 6:11; Acts 27:35).
Matt. 7:13-14: We will often be alone in
serving the Lord; let your light shine.
He or she gave thanks for us…
Col. 3:17: We must all give thanks for
ourselves. Continually thank God.
If I don’t have it now, I must never had it…
Phil. 4:6: Pray instead of worry.
5. Give Thanks
So and so (not God) healed me…
Acts 17:28: God is the reason we live.
I’ll say ‘thank you’ later…
Prov. 3:27-28: It’s wrong to tell our
neighbor to come back tomorrow. Wouldn’t it
be wrong to tell God the same?
Why did the Samaritan return?
Luke 17:15-16: Because he knew the source
of his healing and was thankful.
