RAG AND BONE: THE MYTHICAL ZOO
Morag and her brother Boyd, known as Rag and Bone, are sent to live with their parent’s
childhood guardian when their mother dies and their father disappears. At ‘Uncle’ Olaf’s
remote Highland castle they stumble on a gateway to another world, where all the beasts
from our mythology are real. Finding a clue to what happened to their father, the
children set out to find him, helped, and hindered, by the strange creatures they meet.
They soon discover this Otherworld has more dangers than they ever dreamed existed.
SLEEPING WITH GHOSTS [wt]
Anna and Hayden’s torrid affair is conducted in the vacant properties he has access to as
an estate agent. One rambling old place has more allure than mere emptiness. It holds a
female spirit, a succubus, eager to seduce Hayden and have him all to herself. Anna, is a
rival, soon increasingly dangerous ‘accidents’ start happening to her. Meanwhile, Hayden
becomes ensnared. The Spirit is a sensual fix he can’t do without, soon he’s addicted,
eventually giving in completely to her voracious sexual demands – that’s when She takes
everything She wants - including his life.
HU AND JI: THE ANTIQUE SHOP BEARS
A series of short stories about the two giant teddy bears who by day are window-dressing
in an antiques shop window, but by night they come alive and visit the times and places
of the objects they find in the shop. Fun and instructive stories for 4-6 years olds – think
Jackanory storytelling and Reithian BBC principles!
Illustrator/animator needed – profit sharing from possible 15 mins TV spots, and/or
potential ebooks. Old-school images – Quinton Blake, E H Shepherd – pen and
watercolour style or simple paper animations in the vein of Capt Pugwash, Noggin the
Nog, etc I’m open to suggestions, but the stories are deliberately ‘old-fashioned values’.
EVERY STEP YOU TAKE
Caleb’s insatiable curiosity about his powerful, new boss gets the better of him, with
disastrous consequences.
Caleb Williams, a young would-be journalist, thinks he has landed on his feet when an
extremely rich and powerfully influential business man takes a personal shine to him and
offers him a job as PA. Caleb accidently discovers his boss’ cache of secret and
incriminating journals. Framed for a crime he didn’t commit, Caleb’s forced to run, but
it’s hard to fight back against the system when you don’t know who’s pulling the
strings... and even harder to hide when you don't know who's watching you.
