quality. The owners, Steve Lyman, Paul Lyman and Tom Lyman consider it a
privilege to work with loyal and dedicated office, field and management
personnel. Together they oversee the talented craftsmen and
subcontractors on a daily basis. Owner attention to detail assures quality on

Our Story
Since its inception in 1994, The Company has kept client
satisfaction as its primary focus. From modest beginnings,
HCCD has grown into a full service, sophisticated
construction team. Through collaborative planning with
investors, lenders, owners and design professionals, High
Country delivers top quality in a timely fashion at a fair
price.

I have to say this is bitter sweet, I'm thrilled to see the project finish, but a little
sad that we're done (for now). I've been unbelievably impressed with the caliber
of every HCC employee I've ever dealt with and I look forward to seeing you all
again when we do the second floor.

Rich Denny, of High Country Contractors and Developers, served as my Construction Manager on a
recently completed, luxury condominium project developed by my company, Lake Park Venture, LLC.
From day one, this project presented numerous complex and unique challenges relating to its
construction, stemming largely from the use of very specialized materials and their intricate integration.
On top of this, I will be first to admit that I, as project owner, demanded that only the best workmanship
would be acceptable.
Though given this daunting responsibility, Rich, nevertheless, rose to the occasion and always with an
upbeat, "Can Do" attitude. My every expectation was met thanks to his unwavering dedication and hard
work. From inception to completion, everyday was a pleasure working with Rich and High Country on
my project. It is obvious that customer
satisfaction is a cornerstone of their business ethics.

High Country Contractors is in the final stages of constructing an Architect-designed
custom home for me and my wife in Preston, Washington. The quality of their
workmanship and overall management of the project is unsurpassed. I heartily
recommend High Country Contractors. From the beginning we had an excellent working
relationship with HCCD. They worked well with us and the architect to establish the
schedule and budget for this very complicated project. The most complex part of the
house was the framing which they self- performed and did an excellent job. Their Project
Manager, Brett Long, did an outstanding job coordinating the subcontractors, managing
the schedules and watching the cost through each phase of construction.
Without exception, Steve, Paul, Tom and their entire office staff and on- site personnel
have all been very professional, responsive to our phone calls, questions, and a pleasure

High Country Contractors completed a complicated remediation project for us recently in
Renton. The work was timely and professional with exceptional quality. Most impressive
was the concern and respect shown to the residents during construction. Their safety and
convenience were taken seriously, and the residents are very pleased with the results.
The due-diligence High Country put into this project helped maintain the original budget
and greatly limited the need for any change orders.
High Country comes to the site with a “get-it-done” attitude that encourages excellence in

Hello,
Jeff and I would like to thank you all, for the wonderful job you did on our remodel. First of
all it is done 11 days early!! : ).
I can’t say enough about your crew and subcontractors. Every person that stepped onto that
job site was awesome. Everyone was on time, worked hard, worked late, and paid great
attention to detail, even the neighbors were impressed. Then there is Lisa….Lisa is one of
those one- of-a-kind employees that everyone wishes they had. She kept everyone going,
stayed on top of every detail, problem solved with creativity, made great suggestions when
we weren’t sure about something, never stopped smiling, and made this whole process very
easy for us. She even went above and beyond to help keep our animals safe in the back yard
with multiple people coming and going through the yard which we will be forever grateful.
The house is absolutely wonderful, it does not look like the same house. They did a great job
on the floors, the millwork, the tile, and the paint, again the attention to detail truly shows.

Dear Tom,
Happy New Year! We would like to personally thank you for all of the hard work and care
that you delivered in the construction of Milepost 9, our new house! It was a great

better over time.

Pre-Construction
Pre-construction planning is crucial to the success of any
endeavor. We help you clarify project goals and design criteria at the
onset to shorten the construction schedule and save money. High
Country’s cost estimating and scheduling process allows customers to
anticipate and manage costs throughout the entire project. Through
value and task analysis, problem-solving and a ‘can-do’ attitude, we
endeavor to present your project on-time and on-budget.

Construction
At the start, High Country secures the best vendors at
the most reasonable costs, and we are careful to choose
the right contractors for your specific project. A skilled
superintendent will carefully monitor the schedule and
quality at each phase. We will keep you informed and
ensure that there is good communication at all times.

Closeout
We hold subcontractors responsible to address
unfinished items before they leave the job site. Any
items on a final punch list will be completed within a
reasonable time frame, and we are committed to
providing exceptional warranty service.

Safety
High Country is dedicated to safety on every project. The
Company maintains a safety program to insure
OSHA/WISHA compliance. With weekly safety meetings,
training programs, and on-going inspection of each job-site,
High Country earns membership in the Associated Builders
and Contractors S.T.E.P. program.
The sites are clean, safe, and secure. In addition, all job site
personnel are empowered—and required—to proactively
address any potential hazards.
