‘Positive Carbon’ Copenhagen Agreement Dec.2009
• A globally enforceable agreement– replacing Kyoto- is
announced by the Presidents of USA, China, and EU
• Carbon regime set up around the world.
• Cascaded down to city-states and regions to be accountable for
action at the local level
• The Canterbury region is expected to develop its own Carbon
Positive strategy

- 21. PLANNING
1. What goals/strategies does our organisation have that are relevant to a
‘Carbon Positive CChurch’?
2. Who in the room might be of interest for us to deal with?
as partner, customer etc- What do we think they might want from us?/can offer us?
TRADING FLOOR EXERCISE:
1. Find out the goals and position of the groups you have identified of interest
2. Respond to those groups who approach you
3. Develop first cut ideas about ‘deals’
4. Explore them with your target groups
5. Fianalise your offers and attempt to close the deals
EVALUATION AND REFLECTION REPORT BACK
Each group report back:
• Our strategy and what deals we achieved
1. Our impressions of the other groups
2. What we learned from the exercise- what we will tell our colleagues
3. What ‘deal areas’ we intend to pursue ‘back at the ranch’
