Aqrobia Land Development
The urban planning municipality aimed to create an investment
opportunity by revitalizing and integrating an old fruit market
into the public realm. In addition to developing the project
brief and feasibility the design incorporated the master plan
and landscape proposals as well as a visual developmental
language integrating concepts of place making and spatial
orientation.

Maidan Janaderia – Urban Installation and Landscape
The site is a key vehicular road network linking the Eastern
province and Riyadh. The brief required a proposal of
standalone sculptures in each pocket. The design proposed
aimed to create a holistic experience through a series of ribs
accentuating the speed and movement of the vehicle creating
an experience.

Master Planning and Residential Development
Located on the outskirts of Faisalabad, Pakistan the project aims
to address the middle income shortage. This thematic
residential is divided into different density parcels designed
around a community park. Each park is designed with its own
identity.

Mixed Use Development – Middle Income Housing and Commercial Development
The project site is the result amalgamation of seven
independent plots. The design addresses each site
independently yet creating a cohesive development in an
attempt to create a suburban hub with its own identity.

opportunity to develop a central park as a pedestrian zone

Mixed Use Development – Residential and Commercial Development
This project aimed to address the housing shortage in Karachi.
Located on a major thoroughfare linking upscale residential
zone to the commercial district, the project incorporates both
commercial and residential development. A key part of this
proposal was separating the access to the residential
development to ensure security, a key issue in such mixed use
developments.

2. Select Low Rise Building Work
Ministry of Higher Education Design Competition – Sports Zone for University of Taif
This project comprises of a stadium, indoor squash courts, pool
complex, and multipurpose sports halls. The planning proposal
curtails the vehicular access to the periphery, allowing the
central plaza to be entirely pedestrian. Paths radiating from it
lead to the various sports building and outdoor courts
culminating in viewing platforms that cantilever out over the
seasonal stream.

Yamama Cement Head Office
The leading cement manufacturers requested a new
headquarters that articulated the unique characteristics of their
cement product in their 3 storied office building.

Ministry of Higher Education Design Competition - Library for University of Baha
The concept of the library is the unfolding of space (of the
mind); the transcendence of the mind through the world of
information and literature. The architectural manifestation is
that of a building that wraps itself along the contours of the site.
Through its folds it creates a series of break out spaces that
cater to gender segregation that may be required.

Exposition Design Competition
The design proposal celebrates the link between land and sea for the annual festival
in the historic district of Janderia. Incorporating historic replicas and contemporary
functional facilities as display enclosures, the design creates multi-tier possibilities
of display and attraction. Additional features such as a bridge suspended and
floating performance deck bring an event based attraction to the expo.

Multipurpose Covered Sports Stadium
The multipurpose sports facility has a fifty meter diameter sports arena with a
column free viewing capacity for 6,000 spectators. With twenty meter cantilevered
ribs supporting a translucent high performance canopy creating a daylight stadium.
It also houses various other sports and training centers and their respective adjunct
facilities in addition to administrative and educational auditoriums.

3. Select Mid – High Rise Work
Ministry of Culture and Information Administration Building
The new headquarters for the Ministry is a nine storied building.
The architectural design builds on the existing curvilinear
geometry and creates a hierarchy of larger spaces facing the sea
whiles the others face an internal courtyard. The upper levels
cater to conference rooms and for ministers of Makkah, and
Jeddah.

AKD Office Tower
The design attempts to create an urban responsive building.
The project aims to transform the 24 storied building into a
formally viable urban piece which strengthens the urban form
and reinforces the city fabric. At the entrance is an urban piazza
as a hub of activity that acts as a transition between the
threshold of the city and the building.

Al Oud Four Star Hotel
This200 key hotel proposal aimed to achieve an exception from
the municipality. The linear plot in a residential district allowed
for the creation of staggered vertical masses. In line with the
iconic perfumery image the elevation aimed to contemporize a

Al-Ghadeer Five Star Hotel.
The project entails a 300 key hotel, banquet facilities, spa and recreational facilities.
The architectural language tries to create a local identity for an international
operator, creating it as a unique and contextually appropriate entity. The planning
optimizes the views to King Abdul Aziz road and the immerging KAFD skyline.

G6 Business Hotel Development
This project comprises of a shopping mall, 200 key business hotel, banquet facilities,
spa and recreation, business conference center, an office tower, and multi-storey
basement parking provision. This project aimed to obtain a higher Floor Area Ratio
under the mayor of Karachi’s vision for improving the image of the city and
attracting business to the region. The building design aimed to create a sense of
orientation through the changing floor plate offering usable terrace spaces and
creating alternating building masses and voids.
