- 3. What you will do? Read! Read!! Read!!! Please see the resource lists for the titles you have to read! You have to read carefully and pay attention to the details of the books You have to have a very good memory You have to answer a lot of questions about the books you read
- 4. Rules of The Battle of the Books
- 5. Rules! Rules!! Rules!! The teacher will ask YOU questions from the books you read. For example – In which book does a little girl get a china rabbit from her grandmother as a birthday present? You have to answer the question by providing the title of the book and the name of the author
- 6. You will have more chances to win if you follow the rules of the game!
- 7. More rules!!! You have pronounce the title of the book and the name of the author accurately If you can only remember the title of the book you will earn two points for your team If you can also provide the name of the author you will earn 1 point for your team If you only remember the name of the author but forget the title of the book, no point!
- 9. Please keep it in your mind… You are allowed to have discussion with your team members and try to figure out the answer. But your team only has 20 seconds! If your team can’t answer the question, the teacher will ask the other team (your “enemies”) the same question Your “enemies” will have 10 seconds to figure out the answer. If they can answer the question correctly, they will have 2 points!

Students need to finish 10 books on the resource list and the first round of the battle will be held in the week of Jan 9-13, 2012 Students need to finish another 10 books and the second round of the battle will be held in the week of Apr 16-20, 2012
