1. SOCIAL MEDIA REVAMP
WHOLESALESHOPPING.CO.UK
After reviewing the Facebook, Google+, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest pages; I will now be
making some changes to tackle the business of expanding company repertoire as is my duty of
digital content writer. This means I will be grafting --and redesigning-- to make sure as many
people as possible see what wholesaleshopping.co.uk has to offer in the way of stock. The
following changes will be implemented over the next fortnight or so to ensure maximum views
in the run up to the busy Christmas period. In future, there should be the idea of a discount for
first time buyers so that they will become return customers whentheir stock is running low. This
will ensure retailers spread your company’s name via word-of-mouth in person and on social
media. Here are some more important changes that will be happening throughout the
wholesaleshopping.co.uk social media department:
Marketing research is imperative to business: Find out what other companies are
offering their customers and more importantly put out questionnaires to your retailers and use
their answers to provide both existing and future customers what they want to see from you as a
business. Customers are the people that make your business function – they are the reason you
make money so it’s essential for you to provide the best service they have ever had. The survey
(which is without a logo for now as it wasn’t free is available here:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/T5ZX6K7) can be e-mailed to customers with conformation
that their order has been dispatched. It is important to push the survey so that we can
hit and further the company’s potential.
2. LINKED IN: The link to your LinkedInpage is not set up properly via the
wholesaleshopping.co.uk website. LinkedIn is a fantastic and workplace based social networking
site for professionals looking to:
Expand their work force
Gain clients
Keep original clients up-to-date
Explain what the company does and how to contact them
Write blogs about their company’s goings-on: e.g. Here would be a good place to push
your survey once connecting with existing clients
You must utilize this to your advantage because the more your company name is out there, the
more businesses/clientele looking to network will reach out to you. This is also a great place to
see how other businesses and staff market themselves before they show you what products they
have to offer.
BLOGGING: After reviewing the blog and sticking to the original format I decided to make it
less “BUY! BUY! BUY!” and more conversation-like with catchy titles (something I workat best)
as they make people laugh and smile, and everyone knows that people are more likely to spend
money on non-impulsive purchases when they’re jovial.
INSTAGRAM: Every Monday five best-selling pieces of both women and men’s stock will be
selected, photographed and uploaded to the wholesaleshopping.co.uk Instagram page
throughout the week (Mon-Fri). The same goes for the newer stock you hope will go down well
with retailers. On alternate Sundays: One piece that you feel we could sell more of will be
chosen and posted when internet traffic is at its highest. Being a skilled Instagramer, I am aware
of certain hashtags that will ensure more views/likes/comments. Each post will be connected to
3. Facebook, Twitter Google+, et al for maximum viewing. Inaddition, this and Instagram logo
should be placed on the wholesaleshopping.co.uk website
FACEBOOK: Facebook is the king of social networks so I will be using it frequently to
advertise. I will be revamping the page’s description so that potential customers have maximum
information about the company i.e location, opening times, shipping costs etc - This will ensure
that they have the necessary informationthey need. If possible, I would like to explore the
option of advertising wholesaleshopping.co.uk as “Sponsored” on Facebook. This means a small
payment of around £7 p/m, however, more people will see the page and potentially provide
more custom. Further to this, I will be setting up a buying option for the Facebook page so that
future customers can make orders with ease or contact the page with any concerns they may
have in regards to an order they have made. Flawless customer service is imperative! If a
particular size is unavailable in the garment of their choosing, I will be offering them the option
to pick something else to their liking instead of leaving them without options. This way they are
more likely to become return customers.
Pinterest: The wholesaleshopping.co.uk page is cluttered with clothes of neutral palette. This
is going to change. Any item that is no longer on the website or in stock will be deleted and
replaced with a colourful item you feel will be --or is—a best seller. The same applies to both
Twitter and Facebook as neither have been updated properly in some time.
Twitter: I will be stripping the wholesaleshopping.co.uk’s Twitter page layout completely and
starting from scratch. The layout that you have thus far is unattractive, obnoxious and is bound
to put customers off (this also applies to Google+.) Onthe page I will keep the original logo but
remove the harsh background colours, replacing them with more user-friendly palettes. The
company description needs a complete overhaul and the links you are providing on the Twitter
feed are taking up too many characters. For this I will find what is called a “URL Condenser” so
there is more room left over for those all-important hash tags. Further to this, I will also be
4. spam following other users to rack up views and make future potential customers aware of the
new stock we are bringing in and the deals available to them.
Overall, social networking is being neglected and shouldn’t be, so I will work the hardest at my
job to make sure that each and every idea on this list becomes a reality for the company. All
changes will be effective immediate from week commencing 12th October 2015 to accommodate
a larger customer base in the new year.
