The BBC are the publishers of Top Of The Pops magazine, which I have based my magazine (ear candy) upon. The reason the BBC produce the magazine is because in the 1960s they produced and broadcasted a T.V show called Top of the Pops which was a pop music chart show shown weekly, until 2006. Even thought the T.V programme ended the magazine carried on being produced. The BBC are a very good institution to produce a children's’ pop music magazine because the BBC cater for a very wide audience, and have specialist channels just for children e.g. CBBC so understand what would make young children want to buy a magazine and what they would want to hear about. The BBC are a huge corporation with 12 radio stations, 22 magazines and 9 T.V channels. So advertising would be easy, because they have many way to advertise a product such as my magazine.
