The Federation Humana People to People operates programs in education, health, and agriculture across Africa and Asia. It runs 35 teacher training colleges, reaches 5 million people with HIV/AIDS prevention, and trains 52,000 small-scale farmers. The organization is also involved in used clothing collection and sales, which generates funds for development projects while reducing environmental impacts. Contributions from clothing donations in 2011 alone helped reduce CO2 emissions by 446,000 tons. The Federation takes a long-term, people-centered approach to sustainable development.
