- Our first idea was to pick between, Kat Dahlia's Gangsta and Rihanna's song 'Love the way lie (without Eminem). Gradually, we went decided to go with Kat Dahlia because of many reasons. Firstly Kat Dahlia is less known as a artist. This will mean that we can experiment and be more imaginative with our video more as it is less known. Second of all, it had a lot more beat to it, and we could integrate this with our shot types i.e small, long-shot. Furthermore, we also thought that this song would go well with applying Andrew Goodwin's theory. Second Idea- Wretch 32- TraktorWe started to research different songs for a male artist and we came to a conclusion that we were going to use the song 'Traktor' by 'Wretch 32'. This song had many beats to it and we thought that we could be very imaginative and play around with the camera filming it. Just to get a feel on how we could film this, we took Abdu and the camera and done a test shoot in town. He was a very confident and brave artist, however really lacked that star quality that we were trying to portray in our video.At the end we decided to pick the song- Jojo because it fit really well with what the star and we decided to make it a performance video. One of the crew member (Junaid) told us about a potential girl that wanted to be in our video. When we met up up with her she seemed like a very enthuastic girl. We made out questionnaires to hand out to males and females around asking them their opinion on our song and what they though about it. However, in terms of filming we were a little restricted. This is because she was a full-time student as well and did not have too much time. However we were able to find some time in the weekends.
- We picked this song JoJo a little too late as we found that it would make the perfect performance video. When choosing the star of our video , I went on twitter so that I could message a girl. She was a friend of someone who was close to me so we decided to get in throuh with her through twitter.
- We decided that our idea was for a girl to take the role lead and she would go around Coventry's landmarks where she would sing about her getting over her boyfriend.
- I went out trying to look for a girl who would suite the video. After a few days I managed to get a girl from twitter who was more than happy to perform and her name was ‘Jess Sage’. She was also a friend of someone who I am close to. She fitted the role as she was tall, blonde and she suited it perfectly. There was a little downfall when I phoned her as she told me that she’s a student herself and she could only record on weekends however as a group we decided that we would put in extra time on our weekends and spare time to record. That was a challenge we would overcome.

- When looking at locations, we chose these four places that we would prioritise when we are filming. Firstly we chose that we would want to film at the famous Coventry landmark , Coventry Cathedral’. We chose this because it is a attractive location and it the place is quite big. Another point is that we thought it would be good when filming as it is round the corner from our school.We also chose the Coventry Herbert garden as it is a beautiful natural scene and it goes with the music. We al agreed on this location. Another point is that we chose the Coventry canal basin as well loved the water canal which was there as well as it looked peaceful and again we thought it would go directly with the music. Lastly we hose thatshe should come to the school and perform against a white background so it emphasises the song and it looks very clever as well.
- When looking at the target audience we have seen that the audience is for females. In particular females that have lost in terms of love and even to some girls that their boy friends have cheated on. When conducting the questionnaires the results we got back all decided that the most popular genre was pop.
- In our music video we will be trying to meet them as the music video lyrics will be based around relationships and love.
