1. Stop Beating Yourself Up And Lose Weight Easily!
I was working with a client recently for weight loss here at selby hypnotherapy. She was doing
Hypnoband or what is sometimes called hypnotic gastric banding.
My client came in for her second week, it was clear she was enthused and had changed her life on
Hypnoband completely. She was eating less rubbish and exercising far more (Which is partly
down to the hypnotic suggestions I use). However, when she got weighed she was 1lb heavier
than the previous week.
Now here at Selby Hypnotherapy I see lots of clients so I have seen this before. It is crucial at this
time that you see that your effort is conducive to weight loss, congratulate yourself for that effort
and really don't give the scales any second thought.
The reason for this is the key to why people Yoyo diet. They see a discouraging figure on the
scales or eat a whole packet of chocolate biscuits and instead of focussing on the fantastic week
they had they beat themselves up for the result on the scales of the minor indiscretion I like to call
a BLIP.
So I remained upbeat and kept the focus on the fantastic effort she was putting in. Hey presto one
week later she was 5lbs lighter. But not only was she 5lbs lighter she had just had a life changing
lesson in that when the going gets tuff the tuff get going or when the going gets tough she dug her
heels in, took control and made her body change for herself!
