“Search the scriptures (You must in your relationship with Him.) There may be a promise to fit
your case but you miss it because you don’t know the word.”
“If you knock and the door doesn’t open, ask, if you ask and it doesn’t work, then seek. If you
seek and you don’t find then wait on the Lord and He’ll renew your strength because aster all
of that you should be tired.”
“I need a scripture memory-bank to withdraw from on my circumstances.”

“If the word isn’t in your heart or mind, the Holy Spirit has no sword to pull out.”
*Meditate & Memorize (but to do so without genuine acceptance & application you are
deceiving yourself):
Hebrews 6:12 – “It takes time to get the heart under complete mastery of though. Don’t you
know it takes boldness to let truth enter you?”

2. *Pressures and trials remove impurities:
“As you build your relationship, God will begin seizing your property (the old thoughts, habits,
etc. He’s removing the old you while you fill yourself up with the word.”
“Your boldness cannot leave you for a single moment. It will keep you attached to strength to
the end of this life.”
“Our faith accepts the promises of God and our experience lets us know we have received it.”
*We must be trustworthy with the Lord:
2 Thessalonians 3:3
Hebrews 10:23
*What hinders our relationship with God:
1. Unbelief
2. Ineffectiveness of religious activities - “causes you not to believe, and causes you not to rely
on the Holy Spirit but on the activity.”
3. Fighting spirit – fighting over personalities rather than principles
4. Going in with resentment, hidden anger, and bitterness
5. Expecting to always be happy – “happiness is you finding pleasure, joy is relying on God to
send pleasure”
6. Being saturated, in other words stuffed
7. Not knowing your purpose
8. Lack of desire– “tied into laziness and restlessness”
9. Motivation
10. Hypodermic spirit – “living on shots of religious excitement instead of growing spiritually by
studying the word.
11. Unfaithfulness
12. Loyalty

3. “Memorizing the word is not to inform you but to transform you.”
“Meditation is making your words into thoughts and thoughts into actions.”
