What is the secret to finding customers and creating fans? One simple secret: YOU are not your ideal client. So who is? In this course, I walk you through creating your perfect customer, also known as your Avatar. With this simple exercise, the creation of your products and content will become more centered around your ideal client, and less like trying to force a dog to buy a pineapple.
2. If you haven't read Day 1 of the
email e-course (you should)
here is a brief recap of what
you need to know regarding
the importance of AND process
of creating your own avatar for
your Startup.
What is an Avatar? An avatar is
a visual representation of your
perfect customer.
FIRST: ANSWER A FEW QUESTIONS
What do you include with your
avatar? The questions in the
following slides will help you
to develop your ideal customer
with questions that will zero in
on your business' purpose.
I recommend answering all of
the questions in order to create
a more lifelike persona, even if
you don't include all of the
answers on your final avatar.
The psychology behind your
Avatar: When you write a blog
post, create an ad, or develop a
new product, it's human habit
to design it for yourself.
Creating and focusing on your
avatar for each of these
processes allows you to focus
on your CLIENTS needs
instead! This, in the long run,
will lead to more sales and a
thriving company.

PERIOD OF A PERSON'S LIFE AND WITH OPPORTUNITIES
FOR PROGRESS.
What is your customer's current career?
Do they like it? What parts of their career are they good at?
What parts of their career do they struggle with?
If they could be doing anything in the world, is this what they
would choose?

7. MY AVATARS
MEET NATALIE PAGE AND JIM DURANTE (HA-CHA CHA CHA)
These are my perfect customers. I have answered ALL of the above questions, but I know these two
SO well, that I know what their answers would be.
Natalie Page (I used a photo of Emma Watson....because, WHAT? She's Emma Watson!) - She has an
average income, and an obsession with getting out of her 9-5 job. Although she has various hobbies
and favorite past times, she spends every waking moment trying to work on her home business. She
loves art and wants to use her degree from college (and the few connections she has) to represent
budding artists. Her favorite food is Macaroni and Cheese with a heavy Malbec.
Jim Durante - Jim is an engineer, a job he loves, but is working for a company he hates. He wants to
take his passion for photography and travel to new heights by figuring out how to freelance. He
needs guidance to determine how his new venture will fund his new lifestyle. When he is not
photographing everything, he is building tiny robot replicas of Abe Lincoln in his basement. His
girlfriend thinks they are creepy.

10. THE HOME
WORK
Now it's your turn! Have fun with this!!
1. Sit down with a pen and paper (or computer) and
answer as many or all of the questions that you can. You won't put
all of the answers on your Avatar's sheet...but you need to know
these guys in and out. (You may have one avatar...you may have 5.
Think man, woman, child, old, teen, etc!)
2. Find a photo of your Avatar! This is actually harder than you
might think! I favor Pinterest for this. Don't JUST pick a celeb. Pick
someone who LOOKS like the person in your head. If you do
choose a celebrity, choose them because they have similarities to
your avatar.
3. Post this sucker EVERYWHERE! They should be your guide in
every decision you make from not on...
4.Oh! And be sure to post your Avatars and/or questions to the
Facebook Group! I would love to see what you com up with!
