fall on the terrain and relief
obscuration Vinice - Rača, SK

2. • Quality of vineyards
depend on many aspects
that are determining the
terroir, such as
declination of the
terrain, orientation to
the cardinal points, time
of exposure to the sun,
altitude and many more
• In these analysis we
were researching
obscuration and angle
of rays under which they
fall on the terrain
3. • Our analyses were made from observation of these days:
1) Spring equinox, 20th of March 2012
2) Summer solstice, 21st of June 2012
3) Autumn equinox, 23rd of September 2012
• In each day we were considering three main day times,
namely 2 hours after the sunrise, the midday and 2 hours
before the sunset
4. • 2 hours after the sunrise
Equinox 20th of March, 23rd of September
9. • 2 hours before the sunset
Solstice 21st of June
10. The average values of sunlight rays angle fall and sum of shadows made from
20th of March, 21st of June, 23rd of september
in these daytimes 2 hours after sunrise, midday, 2 hours before sunset
