Midwest’s top public universities, UW-Eau Claire provides students with
small classes led by talented professors, cutting-edge

SLIPPERY ROCK UNIVERSITY TUITION REDUCTION
Slippery Rock University (SRU) welcomes the exchange of students,
scholars and faculty. Currently 76 international students from 36 nations
are studying on campus. Over 400 SRU students and professors are
involved in a variety of programs in 23 countries.
SRU is pleased to announce a reduction in tuition charges! This is
something that does not happen often at any university, so we are especially delighted that it is
happening at SRU and benefiting our international students. With this change, our total costs for a
year are less than the cost of tuition alone at many other universities.

The University of Maryland School of Public Policy is one of the nation's
leading graduate programs devoted to the study of public policy,
management and international affairs. Neither a behemoth nor a niche
program, we are a medium sized school with big ideas and small classes. We have become a
major player in a short period of time, and we are still rapidly growing in size and influence.
The Maryland School of Public Policy (MSPP) affords several opportunities for meritorious
students to support graduate study. All domestic and international students can be considered for
merit-based aid. Consideration for these awards can be requested on the admissions application
form. Criteria for consideration are the same as for admission to the program. Merit awards
offered to admitted students range from modest grants, partial or full assistantships, to full
fellowships. More details about these awards are available at the link below.

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OFFER
THOUGHTS ON AMERICAN MUSIC
If music is the international language — spread across the world and
built upon influences molded by various cultures — it stands to reason
that familiar rhythms and tones could be of some comfort to students looking for familiarity
thousands and thousands of miles from home.
“Brazilian music tends to have a lot of American influences in it,” said Marcelo Moreira, a senior
electrical engineering major from Brazil, currently studying at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The Maryland School of Public Policy (MSPP) affords several opportunities for meritorious students to support graduate study. All domestic and international students can be considered for merit-based aid. Consideration for these awards can be requested on the admissions application form. Criteria for consideration are the same as for admission to the program. Merit awards offered to admitted students range from modest grants, partial or full assistantships, to full fellowships.
