NORTHWESTERN MICHIGAN COLLEGE MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
Northwestern Michigan College is a publicly funded community college that serves
people, organizations and businesses. We serve more than 50,000 learners
annually throughout the Grand Traverse region and beyond. NMC offers associate
degrees and professional certificates and, through our University Center, nine partner
universities grant baccalaureate, graduate and doctoral degrees.
Northwestern Michigan College is offering scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year ranging
from $500-$1000 to applicants with an equivalent 3.0 GPA or higher who complete an application
by June 1, 2013.

UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION
SCHOLARSHIPS
Founded on the principle that an outstanding liberal arts education is the
basis of successful citizenship, UND is focused on teaching, research and
creative and scholarly activity, and service to the state of North Dakota,
nation, and world. Students matter at UND. It is a place where students
research alongside renowned faculty and those same renowned faculty light up the classrooms.
The National Science Foundation has awarded to the University of North Dakota Science Team a
grant to support a scholarship program to students in biology, chemistry, geography and
mathematics. The program will provide financial support for up to 4 years (if renewal criteria are
satisfied) covering tuition & fees with support of up to $10,000 a year, depending on the financial
aid eligibility and qualifying to the selection/eligibility criteria.

2. MONMOUTH COLLEGE MERIT-AND NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
Monmouth College, a residential liberal arts college located in the beautiful, safe
and affordable Midwest, warmly welcomes international students, including
transfer students.
There is no application fee, and admitted students are automatically considered
for merit scholarships (of up to $21,000 per year) - there is no additional
application required. With proper documentation, students will also be considered for financial-
need-based aid (approximately $5,000 per year). The total cost to the student next year (including
room, board, travel, books, and health insurance) will be approximately $13,000 per semester. We
require TOEFL or IELTS; SAT scores may be substituted for the language proficiency scores, but we
do not require SAT scores.

SMITH COLLEGE SUMMER PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS
Smith College's summer programs are offering multiple $1500 scholarships for
its "American College Internship Program," which runs from July 7-August 3,
2013.
The program offers 15 hours each week of ESL, American culture and history
classes, as well as academic writing and public speaking courses. We will tour
other college campuses, such as Harvard, M.I.T., Amherst, Middlebury, NYU, to name a few. We will
also help you select undergraduate and graduate programs to apply to. This program will help you
succeed in an American classroom! Applications are due April 26th.

EAST TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY ACADEMIC MERIT
SCHOLARSHIPS
East Tennessee State University prepares students to become
productive, enlightened citizens who actively serve their communities and
our world. Education is the university’s foremost goal. ETSU provides
outstanding programs of study, enhanced access to education, distinctive
education and research opportunities, and a variety of distance education
offerings to attract students from around the region and the world. ETSU affirms that a diverse

The International Students Academic Merit Scholarship is available to all qualified new international
students applying to East Tennessee State University at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The scholarship covers 50% of tuition. Students seeking undergraduate degrees or doctorate
degrees can receive the award for 8 semesters. Recipients pursuing master’s degrees can receive
the award for 5 semesters. Recipients must be full-time, degree seeking students who have or plan
to have an F-1 or J-1 student visa. Students must complete an admissions application before
applying to the scholarship.

3. INDIANA UNIVERSITY SOUTH BEND BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS
FELLOWSHIPS
Indiana University South Bend is the only comprehensive public university in
North Central Indiana and the third largest campus in the Indiana University
system. We’re a university grounded in academic excellence that also offers
the full collegiate experience.
The Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics Graduate Fellowship Program invites
applications from students with a demonstrated record of excellence at the undergraduate level
along with evidence or promise of a strong professional career. Each Leighton Fellow will receive
up to $5,000* per year, renewable for two additional years, as long as the Fellow maintains a
graduate business GPA of at least 3.0.

4. PITTSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES INTERNATIONAL MINI-
MST CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
Pittsburg State University's College of Technology is excited to announce
a new International Mini-MST Certificate Program, which is an
introduction to Master of Science in Technology. The Mini-MST Program
will be held this summer on July 15-26, 2013. This program is uniquely designed to accommodate
the international learner and introduce the U.S. industrial, engineering, and technological
environment presented by the faculty of PSU. This program includes both on-campus classes in the
state-of-the-art Kansas Technology Center and off-campus field trips.
This non-degree, non-credit bearing program is open to all students, both undergraduate and
graduate, as well as professionals in the workforce. Students do not need to have a technology
degree to apply. The cost for the program is $2500 (US) which includes classes, field trips, housing,
health insurance, access to campus facilities, and airport pick-up.

STUDY GEORGIA LAUNCHES SEVERAL NEW ENGLISH LANGUAGE
PROGRAMS
Study Georgia is pleased to announce the addition of several English as
