This is a unique and unforgettable tour through some of the most 5
rugged terrain in the southern highlands of Iceland. We start by
heading to the foot of Mt. Hekla where the landscape has been
shaped by centuries of volcanic activity. In our jeep we climb as
high as 1000 m (3280’) above sea level to enjoy fascinating views
over the Torfajökull area and weather permitting, some of Iceland’s
glaciers as well. Now we are in one of the largest geothermal areas
in Iceland where fire and ice may create spectacular ice caves, as the
hot springs are constantly working underneath the icecap. We then
visit the Hrafntinnusker area and end in Landmannalaugar where
a warm bath in a natural pool is optional before heading back to
Reykjavik. This is a land of unreal beauty with steaming hot springs,
