1. Mompox Earrings
Mompox Filigree is an ancient jewelry style introduced in the 1800s to
Mompox, a small and picturesque town in Colombia. You do not need
to travel far to get a unique, handmade piece that will last forever! Its
delicate designs are made of thin hand-twisted silver threads (sterling
silver #925) that are interwoven into endless circles to create a multitude
of attractive shapes and figures. The designs are an authentic
reproduction of Pre-Columbian jewelry, taken from original designs of
the Gold Museum of the Banco de la República in Bogota, Colombia.
